You’ve just started your new job as Director of Marketing, and you’ve hit the ground running. The team is discussing new and innovative ways to target customers and prospects, to decrease marketing costs and increase ROI. Ideas are flowing, people are engaged and excited, and you’re thinking this couldn’t be going any better. To maintain the momentum and build a competitive advantage, you want the first set of campaigns ready to launch in a week. Complete silence. “Did I say something wrong?” And then it starts:

“IT provides us with that data but given their bandwidth , it can take a long time to get it…the data we need is not available at our fingertips and, worse, it’s spread all over the place…different systems identify customers and accounts differently; there’s no consistent key, so we’ve no way of identifying people across multiple systems.”

With limited access to data and a huge dependency on IT, your dream job is turning into a nightmare. You need the ability to own and control your data, building the processes to create a 360-degree view of your entire customer base.

An all too familiar scenario. However, RedPoint knows that this seemingly hopeless situation can be turned into a success: the solution is RedPoint Data Management.

  • More than just a world class ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tool, RedPoint Data Management is also a compilation of proven processes, standards, key learnings and best practices from industry veterans in the areas of customer data integration, probabilistic/fuzzy consumer matching, data quality, etc.
  • The platform provides users with a powerful set of capabilities to build and maintain a data mart that can be leveraged to make quick and informative business decisions.
  • Pre-built tools for Address Standardization & Correction, Master Customer Key Management, Householding and Consumer Match/Merge make these once difficult tasks a breeze.
  • RedPoint Data Management can be accessed in two different ways: Data Intake and Data Management Workbench.

This self-serve tool is designed with the marketer in mind. Data Intake removes the complexity of designing and building your data mart. In a few minutes, and with a couple of clicks, an automated process can be built to load your database, which will continue to add and update data automatically as files are received for as long as you require.

  • With a wizard-style user interface, users provide basic information about the file, such as Location (where is the file located so that we can wait and watch for new instances), File Classification (customer, prospect, account, transaction or custom) and Load Strategy (full refresh vs. incremental load)
  • Once we know that information, we auto-detect the rest including Layout (file type – e.g. delimited, Excel, XML), field names and data types) and Data Classifications (values in each field being analyzed to determine whether e.g. First Name or Address, helping us to determine the fields to use in our Address Standardization and Consumer & Householding processes). We then build the data in the database; using our standard data model, extended and customized to fit your specific needs.
  • We also automatically create representations of the data in RedPoint Interaction, meaning that you can start using your data to build campaigns as soon as it is loaded.
